‘Lord of the Rings’ Potential actor loses $100 M

Potential ‘Lord of the Rings’ actor Russell Crowe has lost $100 M pay day.

According to Hollywood reporter online magazine, Peter Jackson, the director of ‘Lord of the Rings’ did not invite potential actor Russel Crowe for playing the role of Aragon.

“Russell Crowe came close to playing Aragorn in the 'Lord of the Rings' trilogy — but he was put off by one phone call with director Peter Jackson.”

Later, in an interview the Oscar-winning actor explained the reason for saying no to the offer which resulted in losing $ 100 Million pay day.

He said that peter Jackson did not ask him to play role in the flick because he had someone else in his mind to do the job in the blockbuster franchise.
